  • What do I need to rent a scooter?

    It's mandatory to come with your ID CARD / PASSPORT and the valid Driving License.

      

    To have the minimum age of 21 years for 125cc scooter and the valid Driving License for Spain (European License B with minimum 3 years old, A1, A2 or A) or the International Driving Permit.


    To have the minimum age of 18 years for 50cc scooter and the Driving License valid for Spain (European License AM, B with minimum 1 year old, A1, A2 or A) or the International Permit.


    In both cases, is required a minimum of 1 year of previous experience.


    The driver has the responsibility to know if his license is valid. BEST RENT A SCOOTER is not responsible if the driver is sanctioned for this reason.


  • What includes the Rental Price?

    When you rent a scooter with us, you have everything you need to move around peacefully: the helmet (approved and mandatory use), Third Party Insurance and the Roadside Assistance.

  • What the insurance doesn't cover?

    The insurance doen't cover in case of: Subtraction, Loss of vehicle, Damages to the vehicle, Fire, loss of personal items.


    BEST RENT A SCOOTER is not responsible for the weather / climate conditions.


    Driving in the maritime zones or in sports competitions, official or not, is illegal and cancels the Contract and the Insurance.


  • Can someone else drive the scooter?

    Only the person authorized on the contract can drive. The contract holder is the only responsible if an unforeseen event occurs if a second person drive.

  • Do I have to pay for the fuel tank?

    It's delivered with a full fuel tank to be able to circulate without refueling before traveling. When you return the vehicle, you must return in the same conditions. Don't forget that to refuel the fuel type it must be Gasoline Unleaded 95/98 (E10).

  • How I can have the scooter for longer time?

    If you want to extend the contracted term, before you need to call or send email to inform us and you must pay the corresponding amount. For each hour or fraction of extra time will be charged according to the vehicle model contracted and the current rate.

  • How can I pay the Rental?

    The rental payment is always in advance and can do it by Cash, Credit or Debit Card, or PayPal.

  • How much is the VAT?

    The VAT (the Value-Added Tax) in Spain at the standard / general rate it is 21%.

  • Do I have to pay a Deposit?

    It's mandatory to pay a deposit with a Card (Visa, MasterCard, Maestro or American Express) which will be returned to the devolution of the scooter in the same conditions.

  • What to do in case of breakdown or accident?

    If you have a Breakdown, you should contact us and the Roadside Assistance 24 hrs / 7. 


    In case of Accident, contact within a maximum period of 24 hours with us and with the Competent Authority. Indicate in your friendly statement the circumstances, place, time, date of the accident, the other vehicle registration, insurance company of the opposing vehicle, etc. In case of improper use of this service and within the stipulated period, a fine of € 100 will be imposed.


  • How does it work in case of fines?

    First we notify you through the means you have previously provided. It will be identified before the corresponding Public Administration. A surcharge may apply depending on the contractual conditions.

  • How does it work the Road Assistance?

    The charges for Roadside Assistance will be accepted only in case of emergency. In case of inadequate use of this service, the client will proceed to pay an extra of € 100.


  • What are the conditions of Reservation or Cancellation?

    The Reservations can be made through Contact Form (without payment) or through the Online Booking (pre-charge) which includes additional discount.


    If you make the Reservation online and wish to cancel with less than 48 hours, you have the right for 9 months to make your Reservation effective.


    If you make the Reservation online and you wish to cancel without advance notice, the amount paid will not be refunded.


    The modifications of Reservation will be effective 24 hours before the requested day by email and subject to availability.


  • Where can I park the scooter?

    The Motorcycle parking (in Barcelona) are free but you can only park on areas marked with white lines or white triangles (MOTO) that you find in almost all the intersections of streets.


    In case if you can't park on the delimited areas you can park on the sidewalks with more than 3 meters wide, parallel and at a minimum distance of 0,50 meters from the curb.


    All parking fines and speeding fines are responsibility of the hirer.

  • What's the maximum speed allowed?

    Driving on the city through the bus lane and between vehicles is prohibited. The maximum speed allowed by urban roads is 50/30 km / hour (ex. in Barcelona 50 km / hour, but on other urban roads can be limited at 30 km / hour) and may vary depending on the area (avenues, street of one-way or two-way street, rounds, highways, freeways).

  • Where can I pick up the scooter?

    Normally in our store(s) but if the client request, it's possible to delivery it to the residence address previous payment.

  • How delivery works?

    The deliveries of residence are made in a radius of 3 km from the rental point (previous payment € 20)
